Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company Enhances Precision for 2012

Having provided metal fabrication services for a number of large-scale projects over the past year, Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company (GMFCO) has once again announced initiatives to make metal fabrication greener and more effective for customers and industries across the country.

“When you’re involved with any large project, many times when you finish you’ll think about all the things you could have done better, how things might have been made easier, and where you can improve,” says GMFCO President, Jack Gilchrist. “With metal fabrication it’s no different, and I think a constant drive to improve is one of the reason’s we’ve stayed strong over the years, despite what the state of the economy has been.”

In the past, Gilchrist switched his metal fabrication company to a green metal fabrication company powered by wind credits. He explains, “we didn’t do that to save money or cut back, but to make sure we could do things better, while making room for more improvements in the future.” According to Gilchrist, the “future” he referred to then, is now. The Hudson, NH based metal fabrication company will soon be graced by even more improved equipment, refined metal fabrication processes, and an even greater influence on quality control.

Regarding the metal fabrication company’s continued drive to improve and enhance its operation, Gilchrist says, “You can’t use the economy as an excuse. We’ve always told our clients that our goal is to deliver industry leading results, and we can’t continue to do that if we don’t consistently improve.”

GMFCO regularly provides services such as stainless steel fabrication and metal fabrication to deliver the intricately machined and fabricated parts needed by customers across the country for industries ranging from architectural design and power generation to the commercial and marine industries. With initiatives to improve in place for 2012, Gilchrist remarks, “We’ve always loved a challenge, and by improving our metal fabrication capabilities even more we can meet those challenges on an even higher level.”

Based in Hudson, New Hampshire Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company opened its doors in 1975 and, according to Gilchrist, continues to look for more ways to make every aspect of business “better”.

From adopting green manufacturing methods to constantly streamlining metal fabrication processes, Gilchrist explains that GMFCO continues to move forward within the industry.

New Hampshire Fabricating Company Aims to Make Manufacturing Safer and Greener with Newly Introduced Metal Bending Processes

When customers from the marine propulsion industry approached Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company with a seemingly impossible metal bending project, they didn’t know quite what to expect. They were pleasantly surprised when Jack Gilchrist, President of Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company, was eager to take on the difficult metal bending task, explaining that their New Hampshire metal fabricating company had “built a reputation undertaking the most challenging metal bending projects”– projects, Gilchrist explains, many fabricating companies wouldn’t even consider or be capable of, given the limitations of their equipment.

Over the last 30 years, Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company’s metal bending services have served over 30 markets from marine, architecture, and communications industries to metal bending for artistic endeavors—helping customers create everything from propellers, requiring the highest level of precision, to sculptures, needing a level of expertise and attention to detail, Gilchrist explains, “you can’t find everywhere.”

Gilchrist says, “Our press brake capacity of 750 tons and 20 feet gives us a lot of flexibility” combine that with GMFCO’s machining and fabricating abilities and any limitations concerning metal bending quickly seem to fade away. Gilchrist also explains that GMFCO sets itself apart with a keen interest in understanding exactly what a customer’s needs are. As he explains, a metal bending project done by the right company will yield a customer whatever they need. On the other hand, in the wrong hands a metal bending project can also become “a huge waste of money.” Gilchrist explains his company has done everything possible to always provide the former as opposed to the latter—not only to protect the customer’s investment but to provide metal bending that will ensure products are safer and more reliable.

New Hampshire Metal Fabricating Company Announces Leaner Aluminum Fabricating Processes

Coming out of one of the nations most debilitating recessions, Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company has poised itself to build on the success that allowed it to withstand such a challenging economic climate. The company’s president, Jack Gilchrist, has announced an initiative to offer leaner and more precise aluminum fabricating for customers in every industry.

Explaining customers’ increased concern with their budget, Gilchrist says, “More than ever, customers need efficient and precise aluminum fabricating.” Gilchrist continues, “It’s our goal to understand what customers need and want before anything else, so we can meet and potentially exceed those needs, on time and under budget.”

Gilchrist explains that customers needing aluminum metal fabrications from a wide variety of industries can expect not only efficiency and precision, but reduced lead times and rapid deliveries — regardless of project scope. He says, “The reduced lead time is key with the pressures of today, as we are all doing more work with less people. To the customer, that can mean that it takes longer to get information to the supplier but they do not have more time to get the product to their customer.”

Gilchrist says, by combining greater cost efficiency, shorter lead times, and the ability to “Produce larger and more complex aluminum fabrications than others can handle,” GMFCO hopes to come out of a tough economy as a better company and a better source for aluminum fabricating.

By delivering greater efficiency and precision in every aspect of the aluminum fabricating process, Gilchrist has positioned Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company to provide better and leaner aluminum metal fabricating services, aimed at establishing longstanding relationships with a newly recession hardened customer base.

With 5 axis precision milling centers, the ability to machine large aluminum components, and experienced MIG and TIG welders, Gilchrist says, “We’re more prepared than ever to provide better aluminum fabricating.”
